RI Trooper Log: Arrests for DUI, No Contact Order

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI — State Police arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Jan. 7 and Jan. 11 in and involving Warwick involved charges of DUI, violating a no contact order and missing court on an expired license charge.

Here are the details of those arrests:

Troopers arrest man for DUI on Rte. 95 At 4 p.m. Jan. 10, troopers arrested Oscar Ortiz, 26, of 11 Laura St., Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs 1st Offense – B.A.C. Unknown -blood results pending and 2.) Possession of Marijuana – over 1 ounce. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and held overnight for morning arraignment.

Traffic stop ends with arrest for violating no contact order At 11:36 p.m., Jan. 8 troopers arrested Yerfri J. Minier Parra, 21, of 198 Lenox Ave. Apt. # 1, Providence, Rhode Island, for Domestic Violation of a No Contact Order. 

The arrest was the result of motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court. 

Traffic stop ends with court scofflaw’s arrest At 4:10 p.m., Jan. 7, troopers arrested Jose Luciano, 61, of 274 Potters Ave. Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure To Appear for Pre Trial on the original charge of operating with an expired license originating out of the Providence Police Department 2) Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure To Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of driving with a suspended license originating out of the Providence Police Department 3) Driving with No License-3rd & Subsequent Offense.
