WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests in and near Warwick from Feb. 11 through Feb. 15  involved charges of DUI, including one man charged with a double DUI Valentine’s Day, once in Warwick then again in East Greenwich, a man charged with intent to deliver cocaine, domestic assault  and missed court appearances.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

Missed court, suspended license charge On Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 11:40 p.m., troopers arrested Pedro Tzalan-Velasquez, 50, of 133 Superior St., Providence, Rhode Island, on a Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a payment review hearing on the charge of driving with a suspended license originating out of the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks.

The arrest was the result a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95, in Warwick. Tzalan-Velasquez was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI charge At 2:30 a.m. Feb. 13, troopers arrested Nichole Michalopoulos, 24, of 10 Sheri Drive, Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and or Drugs – 1st Offense, B.A.C. Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, 3.) Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Probation violation, domestic violence charge At 9:53 a.m. Feb. 13 Troopers arrested Joseph Ventre, age 33 of 1 Westwood Manor Drive, Providence Rhode Island on a 1.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Providence Police Department and 2.) A Third District Court Bench Warrant for Hold Without Bail in Violation of Probation (32F) on the charge of Domestic Violence originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street in the City of Providence. Subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Sixth Division District Court for afternoon arraignment.

Warrant, intent to deliver cocaine At 3:07 p.m. Feb. 13, troopers arrested Daniel Machado, 43, of 79 Van Buren St., Warwick, Rhode Island on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine originating out of the Narragansett Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a Barracks Investigation at the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal. Machado was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to Narragansett Police Department.

Wrong way driver, DUI arrest At 2:48 a.m. Feb. 14, troopers arrested Patrick Cahill, 62, of 61 Suburban Parkway, Warwick Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and or Drugs-1st Offense, .10-15, (Phase 1- 0.147), (Phase II- 0.154), 2.) Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety.

The arrest was the result of a wrong way driver on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Cahill was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held over night pending morning arraignment.

Rte. 95 stop, domestic assault warrant At 2 a.m. Feb. 14, troopers arrested Randy James, 32 of 65 William Ellery Place, Providence, Rhode Island on Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Simple Assault originating out of Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Double DUI At 8:43 p.m. Feb. 14, troopers arrested Patrick Cahill, 62, of 61 Suburban Parkway, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and or Drugs- 2nd Offense, .15 or Greater, (Phase I- 0.173), (Phase II- 0.177) and 2.) Operating on a Suspended License – Certain Violations. The arrest constituting the double DUI was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the Town of East Greenwich.

Cahill was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, then presented as a Probation Violator on a previous charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department. Cahill was transported to the Adult Correctional Facility-Men’s Intake.

Crash spurs DUI arrest At 3:44 a.m. Feb. 14, troopers arrested Jacob Tibbetts, 26, of 29 Saratoga Drive, Worcester, Massachusetts for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and or Drugs-1st Offense, .15 or Greater, (Phase I- 0.198), (Phase II- 0.196)

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Tibbetts was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI charge On Friday, Feb. 14, at 10:38 p.m., troopers arrested Melissa Gauvin, 51, of 43 McCabe Ave., Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor/Drugs – First Offense (B.A.C Unknown) 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in Warwick. Gauvin was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and release into the custody of a responsible adult.

Missed court, possession of stolen vehicle/parts charge On Friday, Feb. 14, at 11:49 p.m., troopers arrested Roberto Meran, 27, of 55 Ponagansett Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island on a Providence Superior Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle or Parts originating out of Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick.

Meran was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Traffic stop, DUI charge On Saturday, Feb. 15, at 12:01 a.m., troopers arrested Raymind Cruz, 30, of 18 Lantern Lane, Coventry, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor/Drugs – First Offense (B.A.C Unknown) 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI charge On Saturday, Feb. 15, at 3 a.m., troopers arrested Joseph Laboeuf, 32, of 431 High Street, South Kingstown, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor/Drugs – First Offense (B.A.C Unknown) 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, 3.) Driving Without a License – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on R.te 95 South in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and release into the custody of a responsible adult.
